My name is Jeff Liu, and I’m a Senior UI Designer on the World of Warcraft User Interface Team. How often can a Protection Paladin be uncrushable?Īt 102.4% avoidance/block with Holy Shieldup, this basically means that Protection Paladins are guaranteed to be uncrushable for up to 8 hits every 10 seconds, which is double that of warriors, who can only maintain uncrushability 2 times every 5 seconds with improved Shield Block.The release of Shadowlands provided a new opportunity to streamline and redesign the character creation process.
When it comes to emergency cooldowns, Paladin tanks have the talent Ardent Defenderfor passive damage reduction at low health, Divine Shieldfor instantly removing debuffs that may be extremely dangerous such as Mortal Strike, and Lay on Handsfor instantly restoring oneself to full health. Paladins are able to wear plate armor and wear shields giving them an advantage in melee combat but are also known to have both strong group support and buff abilities at their disposal.
Only Humans and Dwarves are able to become Paladins which makes it another limiting class in terms of race.
